Ministry of Mars are an indie pop/synth-pop electronic music duo, consisting of brothers Alistair (born 7 September 1995) and Jon (born 28 September 1999) Marsden. The British-Australian brothers grew up in Brisbane, Queensland, where they both achieved solo music success before becoming Ministry of Mars forming in late 2018. Winning awards such as a Queensland Music Award, Perth’s ‘Into the Limelite’ Competition and Gympie’s ACIM ‘Voice of Urban’ the brothers now join forces to create pristine indie pop/synth-pop anthems.

Their debut single Breaking Me was released on the 30th of November 2018 which has achieved great success in such a short time. On Spotify alone, Breaking Me has been added to over 500 playlists and accumulated over 50,000 streams within two months of the release and still rising.

“Brother duo Ministry of Mars deliver an absolute banger in Breaking Me, an infectious three-and-a-half minutes of summery electro-pop.” – Happy Mag. The track received its first UK airplay on BBC Radio Northampton as a part of BBC Music Introducing with Lal Muttock.

Their follow up second single released April 26th, Recognise, was written and produced at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. The track has been supported by many online and radio outlets including; Hype Machine, 4ZZZFM, Uckfield FM, Radio Adelaide, comeherefloyd, Indie Star Radio, YACK! Magazine, to name a few.

Their third single, Day ‘N’ Night, is out now featuring Australian rapper Jad Lagoon. It achieved 10,000 streams during its’ first week being released. At the time of writing, the track has over 30,000 streams and rising. To accompany the release of the single, Ministry of Mars released their debut music video for Day ‘N’ Night.

2019 is shaping up to be a big year for Ministry of Mars as they are only just getting started with plans to debut their live show towards the end of the year.
